Each barrel is hand-picked and Bottled in Bond at 100 proof to honor its namesake.

Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. is generally viewed as one of the establishing fathers of the whiskey business, battling for the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, about three decades after he acquired what is currently called Buffalo Trace Distillery. Amid his chance, Taylor actualized a few creative techniques still utilized today, including atmosphere controlled maturing distribution centers. E.H. Taylor, Jr. Single Barrel is matured only in Warehouse C, which was worked by Taylor in 1881 and turned out to be a magnificent maturing distribution center. Each barrel is hand-picked and Bottled in Bond at 100 proof to respect its namesake.
